Comments: Being on a tight budget, we suggested using only two colours (cyan and magenta) for the design / printing of the cover. Still, the cover gives the impression that it had a full-colour treatment. As the book explores the processing of cotton fibres towards spinning, we tried to convey this on the front cover (right side of the spread): from the top left (front cover) the raw cotton becomes more refined as it moves towards the bottom right of the cover. On its way, it 'frames' images of various machines that play a key role to its spinning.
